USAG Rule Update - Vocals and Xcel Time Limits

BREAKING NEWS: Human voice will still be allowed by USAG GOING FORWARD!

USAG removed the proposed rule banning all human voice in floor music. Human voice will still be allowed (yay!). 

Non-word vocals will be allowed as they have been for years. Music with words may incur a 0.5 deduction. A national committee will decide on a new music approval process to begin August 1, 2026.

XCEL TIME UPDATES:

Effective August 1, 2026, USAG will modify the floor routine time limit for the following Divisions: Silver: 0:45 seconds  -  Platinum: 1 minute 15 seconds
